YouTube Fitness Channels You Need To Subscribe To This Winter

FYI: that’s simply not true! Everyone works out differently – for some, gyms can be toxic, non-motivational and downright boring.

You don’t need a fitness-focused space to exercise, your bedroom floor or backyard is more than adequate and for some exercising alone can often be more effective than exercising in a public space. Watching more experienced or fitter people train can be daunting and discouraging, especially if you’re new to the game.

Luckily, exercising at home doesn’t necessarily mean buying over-the-top workout DVD’s from the 90s! There are now so many excellent YouTube channels featuring fitness professionals who are motivational, fun and experienced.

Who knows, after a few months of using these YouTube channels you might even take your newfound confidence to the gym.

Here are some of our personal favourites, tried and tested:

  1. BeFit

The BeFit channel from Lionsgate is perfect for those who love on-going challenges. BeFit offers several 30 day challenges including 30 Day Butt lift, 30 Day Six-Pack Abs and In 30 Extreme. The videos come from well-known fitness professionals like Jillian Michaels, Denise Austin, Jane Fonda, Scott Herman, Kym Johnson and many more.

  1. The Daily Hiit

For the latest fitness craze see HIIT routines; fast, intense and short routines made up of moves that alternate between strength and cardio. So, if you’re looking in to squeeze a highly effective workout in a short amount of time, The Daily Hiit is for you. Uploaded daily, their videos range from HiitReps, HiitCore and even Yoga.

  1. Fitness Blender

Clean, simple and easy. Husband and Wife duo, Daniel and Kelly offer over 300 full length workout routines that cover a full range of areas including Pilates, bodyweight workouts, HIIT, strength training, cardio and so much more. There’s something for everyone here; beginner to advanced, yogi to squat fanatic.

  1. Amanda Russell

This YouTube channel is all about making things full circle, from fitness, cooking, health and eating, it’s all there. She also understands every girls need to be “bikini-bod ready”. Amana friendly and engaging response is refreshing, and she has been featured in publications like Women’s Health and Forbes.

  1. Blogilates

By far, and we mean by far, the best YouTube fitness channel out there. Founder and fitness professional, Cassey Ho is incredible; cheerful, fun, always smiling and incessantly motivational. This is the ultimate channel. Ho’s exercises are primarily Pilates based, but she also ventures into HIIT, cardio, yoga and weight training. She also uploads videos on diet and nutrition, including a range of ‘cheap clean eats’ recipes. Ho’s talkative and lively method is encouraging and super helpful in keeping the fun and energy levels up. We love this girl.
